Travel routers are incredibly valuable for remote workers, business travelers and anyone else that uses Wi-Fi. While these routers have "travel" in the name, don't be fooled - they are powerful enough to run a small home or office and give you a lot of flexibility.
A few things a travel router can do for you:
- Share an internet connection between devices. These routers can share other Wi-Fi signals, ethernet connections or even mobile data hotspots to all your devices.
- Repeat weak WiFi signals
- Protect all your devices by routing them seamlessly through a VPN service
- Get around hotel Wi-Fi captive portals that limit you to one device
- Lower your setup time when getting to a new location. With a travel router, you only need to set up your connection once, as your devices should already be configured to connect to your travel router.
- Convert a Wi-Fi signal to a wired ethernet signal
