A list of online services and software I personally use while traveling to stay connected, secure and safe
VPNs hide your virtual location. This is incredibly important for remote workers who want to keep their location private or those that just need a secure connection. VPNs can also be handy for accessing content such as Netflix from another country.
My VPN of choice from the makers of Proton Mail in Switzerland. An excellent VPN that works great on Travel Routers and all major platforms.
When traveling to certain countries, it is sometimes required that you have an outbound ticket purchased. This can be a requirement of immigration or the departing airline itself. Having an outbound ticket purchased is often very impractical as you may not know how long you will stay in the destination country, or perhaps you have plans to travel via bus, train, horseback, etc. Using an onward ticket service provides you with a real refundable plane ticket to meet this requirement. The ticket is good for a few days, then is automatically canceled.
A reputable service I have used myself multiple times that provides refundable onward plane tickets to meet immigration and airline requirements
