Acceptable Use Policy
The short list of things you cannot do with Slomad.

This policy applies to slomad.com and every tool on it, including Slomad Trips and the Slomad mobile app.
Slomad is a small service run by one person, and processing documents costs real money on every request. Almost everything reasonable is allowed. This page exists for the rest.
Don't
- Upload other people's documents without their say-so. Your family's and travel companions' itineraries are fine — you are travelling together. A stranger's boarding pass is not.
- Use it to break the law, or to process documents you obtained illegally.
- Upload malicious files — malware, or files crafted to attack the parser or the systems behind it.
- Try to break in. No probing for vulnerabilities, circumventing rate limits or plan limits, accessing accounts that aren't yours, or scraping the service.
- Resell it as your own. Using Slomad to run your travel agency's itineraries is fine and encouraged. Reselling access, or wrapping it as a competing product, is not.
- Automate abusively. Reasonable API and forwarding use is expected. Firehosing the service, or hammering it hard enough to degrade it for everyone else, is not.
- Upload what doesn't belong here. It's a travel document parser. Don't feed it unrelated sensitive material — medical records, financial documents, government IDs — and please don't upload illegal content.
Reporting a security issue
If you find a vulnerability, please report it via the contact form rather than exploiting it. Good-faith reports are welcome and will be answered by a human.
Limits
How many trips a plan holds is published on the pricing page. That one is a product limit: reach it and you can upgrade or delete a trip you no longer need — nothing you already have is ever removed, hidden, or expired.
Separately, there are processing limits that aren't published: safety valves against runaway automation, sitting far above ordinary personal use. They're not a plan feature and upgrading isn't the fix. If you hit one through ordinary use, get in touch — the limit is probably wrong, and it'll get raised.
These processing limits apply to every account, including Passport. "Unlimited trips" means there's no cap on how many trips your account holds — it isn't a promise of unlimited processing, and the safety valves above still apply. There's no storage limit today and none planned for personal travel use; see the Terms for the full wording on that and on how plans may change.
What happens if you break this
For anything accidental or borderline, expect an email first. For clear abuse — attacks, illegal content, other people's documents — the account is suspended or terminated immediately, and where appropriate the relevant authorities are notified.
A free account may also be suspended, limited, or closed where use is abusive or puts an unreasonable load on the service: automated or scripted use, repeatedly working around limits, or running up processing costs far beyond what personal travel would explain. What counts as abuse is Slomad's call, made honestly and case by case. This exists for the rare account that makes free unsustainable for everyone else — if you're using Trips for your own travel, it will never apply to you.
If you think your account was suspended in error, reply and say so. A person reads it.
